The design proposes performative responses to the idiosyncratic space of existing condition. The curved wall, a focal point of the design, is to link an existing L-shape space. The thickness of the curved wall is varied and peeled away along the length of the wall to be a service station and bar.
The ceiling form and volume is responding to the curved wall. Broken ceiling planes and volumes perform acoustically while accommodating existing HVAC ductwork and sprinkler heads to minimize unnecessary dropped ceiling height.
